The MAN TGE Next Level has been named “Sustainable Van of the Year 2026” in the van category, recognising the light commercial vehicle’s improvements in safety, driver comfort, and operational efficiency. The award is presented by Italian publishing house Vado e Torno Edizioni, which evaluates commercial vehicles based on their contribution to sustainable transport solutions.
According to the judging panel, sustainability in the van sector extends beyond the powertrain. The jury highlighted that improving driver wellbeing, enhancing safety systems, and increasing operational efficiency all play a role in reducing environmental and operational impacts for fleets.
“Next Level” upgrade introduces new electronic architecture
The award-winning model is part of the MAN TGE “Next Level” range, which refers to vehicles from the 2025 model year onwards. This update introduced a completely redesigned electronic architecture, integrating new control units, sensors and cameras throughout the vehicle.
These upgrades enable a new generation of driver assistance systems and expanded safety technology. For fleet operators, the improvements are aimed at reducing accident risk, supporting drivers during long shifts, and improving the overall efficiency of delivery and service operations.
