Reinforcing Hino Australia’s position as a pioneer in safety, innovation and technology, the Hino Hybrid Electric 300 Series will be the headline of the Hino stand at the 2023 Brisbane Truck Show.
Speaking at the show, Hino Australia Vice President of Brand and Franchise Development Richard Emery said:
“As part of our renewed focus, the Hybrid Electric light-duty truck has moved from a niche offering 15 years ago to a genuine purchase option for many fleets as it is the only Hybrid Electric product available in the market.
“It provides operators with a unique combination of lower operational costs, fuel savings, and emission reductions, while also meeting Euro 6 emissions compliance.”
Hino Australia’s customers will soon have even more choice with a range of new Alloy Tray and TradeAce Hybrid Electric Built to Go products available in Hino dealerships from July 2023.
Examples of the 300 Series range on the Hino stand are the 300 Series Hybrid Electric cab chassis and the popular 616 Built to Go Tipper Pro diesel model, which offers customers a versatile tipper body specification including a barn door tailgate design, body lock, and rope rails.
Technology is another key theme of the Hino stand with the announcement of the Hino-Connect business intelligence and telematics platform as an option for 300 Series customers starting from July 2023.
“Additionally, we will also be upgrading the standard multimedia unit across all models to a new ultra high-definition 10.1 inch multimedia unit.
“It will be a phased rollout approach from July 2023, and will be on display at the Show.”
The 2023 Brisbane Truck Show is also the first public showing of the Hino 700 Series heavy-duty range, which was launched in 2021.
“Despite the COVID-impacted launch timing, the Euro 6-compliant 700 Series has performed beyond our expectations, and we continue to see orders running at record levels,” said Mr Emery.
The Hino stand showcases the two engine variants within the 700 Series range – a FY3036 8×4 cab chassis with an A09C nine litre engine, and an E13C 13 litre SH1845 4×2 prime mover that transports the Hino Sports Deck to various rounds of the Hino-sponsored Supercars Championship and the ongoing Hino Roadshow.
Representing the medium-duty category on the stand is the award-winning Hino 500 Series Standard Cab FD1124, which also meets the equivalent of Euro 6 emissions compliance with its heavy-duty Hino A05 five litre four-cylinder diesel engine.
“We are delighted to be back at the Brisbane Truck Show demonstrating our full range of next-generation vehicles,” continued Mr Emery.
Hino SmartSafe as standard
“At Hino, safety is a central design principle, and we are proud to offer Hino SmartSafe as standard fitment in all on-road market segments,” said Mr Emery.
Hino SmartSafe is a comprehensive safety package featuring driver assist technologies that take an active focus on protecting the lives of all road users.
Hino SmartSafe includes a Pre-Collision System (PCS) with Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) and Pedestrian Detection (PD), Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS), Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Reverse Camera and a suite of other standard safety features including Driver Monitor, depending on the vehicle.
