One of Australia’s largest independently owned windscreen companies has turned a major page in its 38-year history, rebranding from National Windscreens to NWG.
The new name reflects a broader focus beyond windscreen repair and replacement, with NWG now positioning itself as a specialist in advanced automotive technology services. With 12 company-owned sites and more than 150 locations nationwide, the change marks a shift towards the future of vehicle safety, technology, and customer service.
“We are no longer just a windscreen company,” said CEO Campbell Jones. “Our remit extends much further. Each location is deeply committed to not just vehicle glass repair and replacement, but to the rapidly emerging and increasing safety and security technologies.”
The transition comes after a period of transformation, following an investment in 2023 from Nash Advisory and Capital. According to Mr Jones, this has enabled NWG to enhance its tooling, invest in staff training, strengthen partnerships with key suppliers, and expand the services it offers — particularly in the growing area of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
ADAS calibration and diagnostics are becoming increasingly critical following vehicle collisions, even minor ones. “These systems are essential for vehicle performance and, more importantly, passenger safety,” said Mr Jones. “Minor accidents can compromise this functionality, leading to significant risks.”
NWG now supports the collision repair sector by offering ADAS services, which require specialist equipment, deep technical knowledge, and a commitment to precision.
“We are investing in delivering highly specialised ADAS services for the auto repair industry, especially in collision,” said Mr Jones. “This commitment is about helping the industry keep vehicles — and the people in them — safe.”
While the name and brand may be changing, the company’s commitment to service remains steadfast. The rebrand also signals broader ambitions for the future.
“Moving forward, we have many goals including being a leading player in the automotive sector,” Mr Jones said. “Our priorities are expanding our footprint, enhancing our digital capabilities, and promising to be the best partner.”
The launch of NWG signifies more than a rebrand; it marks the beginning of what Mr Jones describes as a new era for the business — one defined by innovation, growth, and customer-centric values.
“We are entering a phase of growth and expansion and unwavering focus on delivering exceptional customer service,” he said. “We intend to lead the industry with innovation and dedication.”
With a fresh identity and a future-focused strategy, NWG is signalling to the fleet, collision, and automotive repair sectors that it’s ready to meet the next generation of vehicle service needs head-on.
