The 2025 Nissan Patrol has landed in Australia, marking a significant refresh for the iconic off-roader with an interior overhaul that blends premium technology and comfort with its long-standing reputation for toughness and capability. While the vehicle retains its rugged V8 powertrain, the real story lies inside, where a modernised cabin experience brings the Patrol into a new era of connected motoring.
Nissan has focused the majority of the MY25 Patrol update on the interior, offering two new cabin colour schemes: a minimalist black leather-accented layout and a more luxurious chestnut theme with woodgrain-inspired trim and quilted leather. This shift brings the Patrol closer to premium SUV territory, offering a more refined space for both daily drives and long-haul adventures.
The cabin is now centred around a premium 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, compatible with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and bolstered by built-in satellite navigation. In addition to touch control, drivers can navigate the system using conveniently placed steering wheel buttons. A wireless charging pad is also standard, along with a 7.0-inch fully customisable driver display that presents key information such as speed, navigation, and efficiency.
Off-road enthusiasts will also appreciate the new Off-Road Monitor, integrated into the digital display. It provides real-time feedback on vehicle status and terrain, helping drivers stay informed when navigating rough tracks or steep climbs.
Standard on the Patrol Ti, these upgrades are further enhanced in the range-topping Ti-L, which adds a premium 13-speaker BOSE® audio system, centre console cool box, and a digital Intelligent Rear View Mirror offering a high-definition feed with improved visibility.
Under the bonnet, the MY25 Patrol remains powered by the tried-and-tested 5.6-litre V8 petrol engine delivering 298kW and 560Nm, paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission and Adaptive Shift Control. Intelligent 4WD with electronic selection ensures the Patrol continues to deliver its signature off-road prowess.
Nissan has also refined the exterior palette, with Desert Red Metallic joining Gun Metallic, Moonstone White, Brilliant Silver and Black Obsidian—although the new hue won’t be available on the Patrol Warrior by Premcar.
Speaking of the Warrior, the off-road-tuned flagship also gets the MY25 interior treatment, while benefiting from exclusive features such as black side steps, a bi-modal exhaust, and a 50mm lift through a re-engineered suspension package. It’s finished off with unique 18-inch alloy wheels, bash plate, and a GVM upgrade to support heavier loads.
All models come with Nissan’s market-leading aftersales support, including Australia’s only 10-year, 300,000km warranty when serviced through authorised Nissan dealers. This long-term coverage is paired with flat-priced servicing through the Nissan MORE program.
Andrew Humberstone, Vice President & Managing Director of Nissan Oceania, summed up the brand’s intentions: “Practicality, capability and comfort have long been the hallmarks of the Patrol, and these 2025 updates only improve the recipe that has made our flagship SUV so enduringly popular among adventurous Australian families.”
He continued, “The 2025 Patrol delivers improved cabin comfort, and technology that only enhances the drive experience whether you’re on- or off-road, without altering any of those core fundamentals. When coupled with Nissan Australia’s Nissan MORE program, including Australia’s only 10 year, 300,000km warranty and flat priced servicing, there has never been a better time to get into a Nissan Patrol.”
With MSRPs starting from \$90,600 for the Ti, \$102,100 for the Ti-L, and \$105,660 for the Warrior by Premcar, the MY25 Patrol offers an updated take on a proven platform. Whether you’re seeking luxury, off-road dominance, or both, the updated Patrol aims to satisfy a broad spectrum of Australian drivers who demand more from their full-size SUV.
