Time is running out for organisations and industry professionals to secure their place in the inaugural Fleet News Group Awards, with nominations officially closing on 30 June 2026.
The new awards program has already generated strong interest across the fleet industry, with nominations being submitted from fleet operators, suppliers, government organisations, and service providers from around Australia.
Now, Fleet News Group is urging anyone considering a nomination not to leave it until the last minute.
The awards have been designed to recognise organisations and individuals delivering genuine leadership, innovation, and measurable results across fleet management, safety, sustainability, and technology.
Importantly, the process gives the broader fleet industry a voice.
After nominations close, an independent judging panel will review all submissions and select three finalists in each category. Those finalists will be announced in August before the fleet community votes to decide the winners.
That means a nomination is not just an entry into an awards program — it is an opportunity to be recognised by peers across the industry.
Fleet News Group says many organisations underestimate the value of sharing their story and achievements.
Across Australia, there are fleet teams improving safety outcomes, reducing emissions, implementing new technology, and delivering operational efficiencies every day without stopping to acknowledge the significance of those achievements.
The awards program has been created to shine a light on that work and create recognition for the people and organisations driving the industry forward.
Award categories include:
- Fleet of the Year
- Safe Fleet of the Year
- Fleet Sustainability Award
- Fleet Technology Award
- Fleet Supplier of the Year.
For suppliers and service providers, the awards also provide an opportunity to showcase partnerships and customer outcomes that are helping fleets improve performance.
Fleet News Group is encouraging companies not to assume they are “not ready” or “not big enough” to nominate.
The judging process is focused on outcomes, innovation, leadership, and continuous improvement — not simply the size of the organisation or fleet.
With the nomination deadline approaching quickly, organisations are encouraged to begin preparing submissions now to avoid missing the opportunity.
Once nominations close on 30 June, entries will move into the judging process and no late submissions will be accepted.
Finalists will be announced on 1 August 2026, with industry voting opening immediately afterwards. Winners will then be announced at the Fleet News Group Awards presentation event in Sydney on 14 October 2026.
For organisations that want recognition from their peers and visibility across the fleet industry, the clock is ticking.
