The 2025 G80 range has touched down in Australia, offering luxurious exterior and interior updates, plus enhanced safety with the latest driving and assistance systems.
The model line-up is simplified for 2025, with a choice of 2.5-litre turbocharged and 3.5-turbocharged powertrains, both equipped with an eight-speed automatic, and the previously optional Luxury Package is now standard across the range.
Power and torque for the 2.5-litre engine come in at 224kW/422Nm, while the 3.5-litre powertrain offers up 297kW/530Nm. The smaller engine scores rear-wheel drive, while the top dog gets an all-wheel drive setup.
The restyled exterior balances an athletic and elegant aesthetic, while interior styling enhancements bring more technology and comfort.
Outside, a refreshed ‘G-Matrix’ grille and bumpers, micro lens array LED headlights with welcome light function, and new 19- and 20-inch wheel design are featured. The G80 Sport gets more aggressive styling and exclusive 20-inch alloy wheels, which hint at its performance potential.
The cabin is headlined by an enormous 27-inch-wide OLED integrated display incorporating multimedia/navigation and cluster information, and a new three-spoke steering wheel. Further additions include a fingerprint recognition module, heated front console armrest with UV-C sanitising compartment, three-zone climate control, active road noise cancelling (A-RNC), and an 18-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system.
Genesis has fitted updated safety and driver assistance technology in 2025 G80, which includes highway driving assist 2, forward collision avoidance-assist 2 with car/pedestrian/cyclist detection, and lane following assist 2 with hands-on detection, smart cruise control with machine learning, and navigation-based smart cruise control.
“2025 G80 applies further sheen to our popular flagship with sophisticated styling updates and a plethora of additional features, to deliver a large sedan of unprecedented luxury,” Head of Genesis Motors Australia, Justin Douglass said.
“With the Luxury Package now standard, a range of new and enhanced safety and comfort technologies, and the convenience of Genesis Connected Services and Over the Air updates, 2025 G80 presents a persuasive package,” he said.
All G80 vehicles come equipped with a five-year/unlimited kilometre warranty, although Genesis says if the vehicle is “used at any time during the warranty period for commercial application” it won’t be covered.
