Mitsubishi Motors has revealed more detail on its all-new Pajero ahead of its global debut, with the returning cross-country SUV set to feature a digital “Multi Meter” display designed to support off-road driving.
The triple-meter display revives a familiar Pajero feature in a modern digital format, providing real-time information including altitude, compass heading, ambient temperature, vehicle pitch and roll angles, and left-to-right torque distribution.
Mitsubishi says the system is intended to help drivers better understand changing conditions when travelling on steep inclines, rugged trails, rocky terrain and muddy roads.
The new Pajero will be positioned around Mitsubishi’s long-standing off-road and all-wheel-control credentials, with the company describing the vehicle as engineered for safe, secure and comfortable driving across varied weather and road conditions.
While Mitsubishi has not yet released full specifications, powertrain details or confirmation of Australian availability, the announcement signals that genuine off-road capability will be central to the new model’s identity.
For fleet operators working in regional, remote or challenging environments, the return of the Pajero could create another option in the large SUV market, particularly where all-wheel-drive capability, driver confidence and off-road information systems are valued.
