Ford has pulled the covers off its MY26.5 updates for the Ranger and Everest, and the message is clear: give customers more of what works. More V6 power. More tech across the range. More black-accented styling. And for fleets? More choice and more capability.
More V6 For More People
The big headline for fleet buyers is the wider availability of Ford’s 3.0-litre V6 turbo-diesel. The 184kW/600Nm powerhouse now reaches more variants than ever — including the Ranger XL and the all-new Everest Active model — giving work fleets and government buyers access to serious grunt without needing to step up to flagship trims.
Ford has also refined its 2.0-litre turbo-diesel with a new timing chain and improved fuel injection. It continues to deliver 125kW/405Nm with torque available from just 1750rpm, making it a proven and efficient option for high-kilometre operations.
A 10-speed automatic becomes standard across every variant (except Raptor’s unique setup), simplifying ordering and improving consistency for fleet maintenance teams.
Maximum braked towing capacity remains 3500kg when fitted with a genuine Ford tow pack.
Design Tweaks With a Purpose
The MY26.5 styling refresh is subtle but deliberate. Gloss and matte black trim replaces much of the chrome, aligning with customer feedback and giving the range a more contemporary and purposeful stance.
Variants including XLT, Wildtrak and Platinum receive updated wheels, darker accents and a more aggressive overall look. The result? More visual differentiation between each grade — helpful when fleets operate mixed specifications.
Ranger Line-Up: More Models, More Tech, More Capability
A few notable shifts in the 2026.5 Ranger family:
Ranger XL grows up
For the first time, the XL can be optioned with the V6. Standard equipment also improves dramatically, with a 12-inch infotainment touchscreen, dual-zone climate control and new rear vents in double cabs.
V6 XL models swap to 17-inch steel wheels with all-terrain rubber, gain rear disc brakes, an e-shifter and selectable drive modes.
Black Edition becomes permanent
Previously limited-run, the Black Edition stays in the range, and can now be optioned with either the 2.0-litre or 3.0-litre V6.
XLS trimmed back
The XLS now exists as a single configuration — a double cab-chassis with the V6.
Wildtrak gets premium upgrades
The Wildtrak gains Matrix LED headlights and a 10-speaker B&O sound system as standard. “Ignite Orange” becomes its new hero colour.
Platinum stays plush
Now with its own exclusive colour: Acacia Green.
New Wolftrak series
A rugged, distinctive limited-edition model with:
- V6 power
- Full-time 4WD
- Traction Green hero colour
- Chunky black wheels

Tremor returns — and it’s angrier

- Bilstein position-sensitive dampers

- Trail Turn Assist
- Rock Crawl Mode
- General Grabber AT3 tyres
- Command Grey hero colour
This is peak Ranger capability straight from the factory.
Driver Assist Technology Bar
A significant change for fleets fitting trays or service bodies:
Cab-chassis variants now get a new DAT bar that allows systems like BLIS and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert to function even after upfitting. This is a major win for safety compliance and upfitter compatibility.
Everest Line-Up: A New Entry Point With More Value
The Everest range sees a restructuring:

It can also be had with the 2.0-litre engine or the V6 for the first time. Pricing starts at $58,990 MLP.
