RedBook New Zealand has launched RegCheck.co.nz, a vehicle information platform aimed at helping fleet managers improve vehicle procurement, compliance checks and administration.
The platform brings together vehicle history, registration information, specification data, valuations and driver licence checks, with features designed for organisations managing multiple vehicles.
For fleet teams purchasing used vehicles, onboarding assets or checking vehicles already in operation, having reliable information in one place can reduce administration while helping identify potential issues before they become operational problems.
Vehicle history checks for fleet procurement
RegCheck provides vehicle history reports covering information commonly required during fleet procurement and compliance activities.
Reports can include a basic NZTA check, ownership and registration history, Warrant of Fitness (WOF), registration and Certificate of Fitness (COF) status and expiry dates, odometer readings and discrepancies, PPSR finance checks and safety-related alerts.
For fleet managers considering a used vehicle, these checks can provide another layer of due diligence before an asset is approved for purchase.
The information is presented in a colour-coded format designed to make reports easier to scan when reviewing multiple vehicles.
Batch reporting aimed at larger fleets
One feature likely to interest fleet operators is the ability to run reports in batches.
Rather than completing individual searches vehicle by vehicle, fleet teams can check or value multiple vehicles together. RedBook says the capability is designed for situations ranging from onboarding several vehicles to processing larger groups of assets.
Batch functionality could be particularly useful for fleet acquisitions, disposals and periodic compliance reviews where a fleet manager may need to work through a large number of vehicle records.
RedBook valuations and specification data
RegCheck also offers RedBook retail price guides as an optional report, providing fleet operators with vehicle pricing information that can be used for budgeting, insurance renewals, forecasting and remarketing.
Enhanced RedBook specification information is also available, including factory engine and transmission details, trim-level features, model-specific technical specifications and verified configuration details.
This information can help fleet managers confirm that a vehicle being purchased matches the required configuration, particularly where different variants or imported vehicles may have similar descriptions but different equipment levels.
For fleets with formal fit-for-purpose procurement standards, having accurate specification information can also support checks against safety, equipment and operational requirements.
Driver licence checks support compliance
The platform extends beyond vehicle information with driver licence checking functionality.
Fleet and HR teams can use RegCheck to verify licence status and endorsements, providing another tool for organisations managing driver compliance and operational risk.
The fleet version of the platform also includes team-based user administration and a user dashboard, helping organisations manage access when responsibility for fleet procurement or compliance is shared across several employees.
More data for fleet decision-making
Fleet management increasingly relies on accurate asset data throughout the vehicle lifecycle — from procurement and onboarding through to compliance, valuation and eventual disposal.
