AutoGuru, Australia’s leading developer of automotive booking and payment solutions, has announced it will transition its outward-facing corporate brand to FleetGuru.ai, a move set to be unveiled at the 2026 Australian Fleet Management Association (AfMA) Summit in Sydney.
The rebrand marks a significant milestone in the company’s evolution from a consumer servicing marketplace to an AI-powered fleet technology leader. Founded more than 11 years ago, AutoGuru has built its reputation as a trusted platform that enables everyday drivers to find an automotive repairer, get quotes, and book car servicing online. But since launching FleetGuru in 2022, the business has undergone a rapid transformation.
“In 2022, we launched FleetGuru and quickly attracted some of the largest fleet management organisations in Australia and now New Zealand because they wanted our assistance to help streamline maintenance, approvals and supplier payments, and it quickly grew to our core business.”
Eden Shirley, Founder and Managing Director, AutoGuru
A Strategic Reveal at 2026 AfMA Summit
The AfMA Summit will serve as the formal launchpad for the new brand, positioning FleetGuru.ai in front of Australia’s most influential fleet management professionals. The timing is deliberate, as fleet operators increasingly look to technology to manage cost, compliance, and complexity. FleetGuru.ai solidifies its position in the market as a purpose-built AI solution for the industry.
Shirley describes the moment as a culmination of years of platform development and a reflection of where the company is headed. “The technology and the platform we’re now building with the utilisation of AI and data is really becoming a global innovation in the fleet maintenance authorisation space,” he said. “We’re really excited about the product that we’re building, about the Fleet Management Organisations that we’re partnering with, and particularly the brand that we’re about to create and launch.”
What the Rebrand Means for Customers and Partners
Despite the outward brand change, AutoGuru reassures customers and partners that business continuity will be maintained throughout the transition. AutoGuru Australia Pty Ltd will remain the legal entity, with no changes to existing agreements, engagements, or payment processes. The existing team, support structures, and day-to-day workflows will remain unchanged.
The AutoGuru brand will also continue to operate as the company’s retail marketplace. All existing products, including BookingGuru and associated domains, will remain in place.
As Shirley put it: “The core business is the same. The people are the same. The entity will remain, but our outward perception is about to be completely reinvigorated.”
AI at the Centre of the 2026 Roadmap
Throughout 2026, FleetGuru.ai will introduce a suite of new capabilities designed to simplify fleet operations through machine learning, intelligent data processing, and automation. The focus will be on reducing the administrative burden of vehicle maintenance management, improving decision-making, and delivering measurable efficiency gains for fleet operators.
The company will release further details progressively as new features are rolled out throughout the year.
“We’re really excited to take you on the journey as we talk about how we’re using AI and technology to innovate what is a very traditional industry such as fleet,” Shirley told Fleet News Group.
Brand Rollout Begins Now
Over the coming weeks, customers and partners will begin to see the FleetGuru.ai brand rolled out across email communications, social media, digital channels, and broader market presence. The 2026 AfMA Summit will serve as the flagship moment for the new brand’s public debut.
The transition reflects both where the business has come from and the scale of its ambitions. After more than a decade serving the Australian consumer automotive market, FleetGuru.ai is now squarely focused on becoming a global player in fleet maintenance authorisation, powered by AI, and built on the trusted foundations that AutoGuru’s customers have relied on for over 11 years.
