Mazda has updated its Mazda3 and CX-30 ranges for 2026, adding safety technology, improved connectivity and two new CX-30 grades.
The changes give fleet buyers a broader choice of small cars and SUVs, with a larger infotainment screen and wireless smartphone connectivity now standard across both model ranges.
More safety technology
Both models receive an upgraded Smart Brake Support system that can now detect motorcycles, vehicles when turning across traffic and potential head-on collisions. Intersection collision avoidance assist has also been added.
For the CX-30, Mazda’s Vision Technology package is now included on all G25-powered models. It adds a 360-degree view monitor with see-through view, Cruising and Traffic Support, driver monitoring, front parking sensors and front cross traffic alert.
The package also includes front cross traffic braking, which is new for 2026. Vision Technology remains standard on Mazda3 models from the G20 Touring grade.
For Fleet Managers, the wider availability of driver assistance technology may be useful when comparing vehicles against organisational safety policies and selecting grades for drivers who regularly travel in busy urban areas.
New CX-30 grades
Mazda has added G25 Evolve SP and G25 GT grades to the CX-30 range, both powered by the G25 Skyactiv-G engine and fitted with advanced keyless entry.
The Evolve SP builds on the Evolve grade with black cloth seats and red stitching across the cabin. Gloss-black exterior details include the 18-inch alloy wheels, mirrors, roof rails and badges.
The G25 GT takes a more comfort-focused approach, adding a glass sunroof, black leather interior, heated front seats and a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with position memory. It also receives silver 18-inch alloy wheels and roof rails.
Further up the range, the CX-30 G25 GT SP gains white Maztex seats with grey synthetic suede inserts and gloss-black exterior highlights. Ventilated front seats are now included on the GT SP and Astina grades, a first for the CX-30.
Connectivity across the range
A 10.25-inch Mazda Connect screen is now standard on every Mazda3 and CX-30, along with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The standard equipment provides a consistent smartphone connection across grades, which may be helpful for organisations operating a mix of vehicles for employees who rely on navigation and hands-free communication.
Mazda Australia Director of Sales and Marketing Jarrod Gieschen said the two models remained important to the brand’s line-up.
“The Mazda3 and CX-30 continue to be important models within our line-up, offering our customers a compelling combination of award-winning design and engaging driving dynamics – and with the latest updates, we’re adding even more value into the equation,” he said.
The Mazda3 continues to be offered as a hatch or sedan, while the CX-30 range includes front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive options.
Mazda has also added new colour choices. Zinc Green Metallic is available on the CX-30, while Aero Grey Metallic joins the palette for both models. Ceramic Metallic and Zircon Sand Metallic have been discontinued.
