Century Batteries has extended its partnership with the Australian Road Safety Foundation (ARSF), backing a national program of road safety awareness campaigns throughout 2026.
The expanded partnership follows ARSF’s involvement as charity partner for the 2025 Century Batteries Ipswich Super 440. This year, Century Batteries will support campaigns including Fatality Free Friday, Rural Road Safety Month, Work Related Road Safety Month and Christmas road safety initiatives.
The collaboration will focus on the connection between vehicle maintenance and safer driving, with educational content planned around battery health, pre-trip checks and the electrical systems that support modern vehicle safety technology.
Century Batteries Marketing Manager – Automotive Andrew Bottoms said batteries now support far more than engine starting.
“Modern safety systems rely on a range of electrical systems to function correctly, making regular battery maintenance not only important for reliability, but also an important part of overall vehicle safety,” he said.
The company said its planned content will highlight the role of a healthy battery in supporting systems including airbags, emergency braking technology, telematics and hazard lighting. The organisations will also use social media, video and public-awareness activity to encourage regular vehicle checks ahead of holiday travel, long-distance trips and changing seasonal conditions.
The partnership will also be visible at automotive and motorsport events, including the Century Batteries Ipswich Super 440, where the organisations plan to engage drivers, trade customers and enthusiasts with practical safety messaging.
Australian Road Safety Foundation general manager Donna Caley said the partnership provided another channel to reinforce the role of preparation and maintenance in reducing risk.
“Together, we can continue to reach a broad audience of motorists with important road safety messages while highlighting the role that vehicle maintenance and preparation play in reducing risk on our roads,” she said.
Century Batteries and ARSF said Australians can expect co-branded educational content, seasonal campaigns and community engagement initiatives across 2026.
