IVECO has unveiled its updated Daily 4×2 van and cab chassis range for Australia and New Zealand, introducing a suite of new safety technologies, a revised and more functional interior, and further emissions improvements – while retaining the truck-like strength and productivity the model is known for.
For fleet buyers, the changes focus squarely on safety, compliance and driver usability.
Advanced safety steps up
A key upgrade is the addition of new front and rear short-range radar systems, enabling rear cross traffic alert and braking, along with enhanced pedestrian detection at both the front and rear of the vehicle. The system also detects vulnerable road users such as cyclists in blind spots, helping reduce the risk of collisions when turning or moving off in urban environments.
Blind spot warning and door open warning are also new to the range.
On the passive safety front, the Daily now features a chassis-integrated ‘crash box’ that acts as an additional crumple zone in frontal collisions. The C-section steel chassis has also been reinforced to improve lateral impact performance.
These upgrades complement existing features including four SRS airbags, ABS with front and rear disc brakes, ESP9 stability control, Lane Departure Warning, Advanced Emergency Braking and Adaptive Cruise Control.
Premium Pack buyers gain additional features such as LED headlights, Advanced Lane Centring and Traffic Jam Assist.
Euro 6 Step E compliance
The 3.0-litre diesel engines move from Euro 6 Step D to the more stringent Step E standard, reducing nitrogen oxide emissions, particularly during cold starts and real-world operation.
Two engine outputs remain available:
- 180EVID – 132kW and 430Nm from 1,500rpm
- 210EVID – 155kW and 470Nm from 1,500rpm
All variants are paired with IVECO’s eight-speed Hi-Matic fully automatic transmission, featuring Eco and Power modes to suit load and operating conditions.
Braked towing capacity across the van and cab chassis range is 3,500kg.
Broad range for varied applications
The Daily line-up continues to cater to a wide spectrum of fleet applications.
Van models:
- 42S (4,250kg GVM)
- 50C (4,495kg GVM, optional 5,200kg)
- 70C (7,000kg GVM)
Payloads range from 1,741kg to 3,953kg, with cargo volumes up to a market-leading 19.6m³ in the 70C – the only van in Australia and New Zealand offering this volume with a 7,000kg GVM.
Cab chassis models:
- 50C single and crew cab (up to 5,200kg GVM option)
- 70C single and dual cab (7,200kg GVM, de-rate option available)
Bare cab chassis payloads range from 2,305kg to 4,755kg depending on configuration.
Interior upgrade improves usability
Inside, the most visible change is a new 10.25-inch TFT instrument cluster with configurable layouts and expanded ADAS visualisation.
An optional 10-inch infotainment system (Business Pack) adds wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, TomTom navigation and enhanced vehicle setting management. A redesigned upper dash with integrated device holders, upgraded USB connectivity including Type C, and improved wireless charging capacity further support driver productivity.
A suspended driver’s seat is now standard across the range.
Fleet-focused functionality
The Daily continues to offer features aimed at operational efficiency, including:
- Rear differential lock (selected models)
- ECAS electronically controlled air suspension option
- ‘Door to door’ keyless start and stop function
- Optional ‘run lock’ allowing the engine to operate while the vehicle is secured
Warranty and maintenance
The new Daily is backed by a 6-year / 250,000km warranty, with extension options available up to 6-years / 600,000km.
Fleet operators can also select from three maintenance and repair packages – ServiceBond, Friction and EasyRoad – providing predictable servicing costs for up to six years or 600,000km.
IVECO Trucks Australia Managing Director Glen Dyer said the latest Daily evolves the range with meaningful upgrades for both fleet and private buyers, particularly in high-payload and specialised applications.
With enhanced safety technology, Step E emissions compliance and greater cabin functionality, the updated Daily strengthens its position as a versatile light commercial platform suited to urban delivery, trade services, refrigerated transport and motorhome conversions.
For fleets seeking a European-built van or light truck with truck-grade underpinnings and high specification safety, the new Daily presents a comprehensive update without compromising its core strengths.
