Australian fleets now have access to the industry’s first generative AI assistant, Geotab Ace, with the local rollout announced by Geotab this week. Integrated directly into the MyGeotab platform, the tool is designed to help fleet operators tackle rising costs, compliance challenges, and sustainability goals through conversational insights.
Geotab Ace uses natural language to interpret complex fleet data, allowing managers to ask operational questions and receive data-driven answers in seconds. “By combining trusted data with the intuitive simplicity of conversational AI, we’re helping customers overcome local challenges, unlock new efficiencies, and accelerate progress toward safer, smarter, and more sustainable transport operations,” said Chris Martin, Senior Manager, Solutions Engineering – APAC at Geotab.
The launch comes as Australian fleets face increasing operational pressures, including fuel price volatility, driver shortages, and tighter safety regulations. Geotab Ace simplifies decision-making by distilling billions of daily data points into clear, actionable insights. It can analyse predictive safety and maintenance trends, trip and zone activity, EV statistics, and exception events, while remembering previous interactions to improve future responses.
Importantly for local operators, Geotab confirmed that privacy remains central to the tool’s design. All telematics data is processed within Geotab’s environment and is not shared with external large language models (LLMs).
Geotab processes over 100 billion data points each day from more than 5 million connected vehicles across 160 countries, supported by one of the industry’s largest dedicated AI and data science teams. This global scale enables the development of robust predictive models and tools like Geotab Ace, which make advanced analytics accessible to fleets of all sizes.
For Australian fleet professionals, the release of Geotab Ace represents another step in the evolution of data-led management. The ability to query data directly — for example, by asking “Which vehicles have the highest idling time this month?” or “How many of our EVs exceeded optimal charging thresholds last week?” — reduces the reliance on manual reports and speeds up operational decisions.
As fleets continue to balance safety, efficiency, and emissions-reduction targets, Geotab Ace offers a new way to navigate these priorities through automation and conversational data intelligence.
- Why Downtime Matters – The NRMA Rapid Roadside Response
When your vehicles are on the road, speed matters. Not just while driving , when broken down as well. For businesses, every minute a vehicle is stranded is another minute of lost productivity, missed customer commitments, and unnecessary stress for the driver. That’s why 24/7 national roadside assistance from the NRMA has become a critical - EV Maintenance Reality Check — What Fleets Need to Know About Servicing and Tyre Wear
Electric vehicles promise lower running costs and fewer moving parts, but fleet workshops, roadside support teams and remarketing experts are discovering a new set of operational challenges that councils and corporate fleets must plan for. Speaking at the Fleet EV Expo for Local Government in November, specialists from Ultra Tune, CoolDrive and Autorola shared practical - BEV vs PHEV: The $1,200 Question That Makes the Case for Going Fully Electric
Electric vehicles aren’t maintenance-free — but Ford’s latest service-pricing details prove they’re much cheaper to keep on the road. With the launch of the E-Transit Custom and Transit Custom PHEV, Ford has revealed full five-year service costs that show how electrification is reshaping whole-of-life fleet budgets.
