Foton Australia has partnered with three Australian accessory specialists to develop a genuine accessories range for the new Tunland V7 and V9 utes.
The locally developed range is designed to help fleets, trades and small businesses configure the Tunland for specific operational requirements, with products covering cargo management, towing, recovery and vehicle protection.
Ironman 4×4, TriMotive and MTL were selected for their specialist expertise, engineering capability and local support. The products have been developed and validated in collaboration with Foton Australia and the vehicle manufacturer to ensure they are suitable for Australian conditions.
Making vehicle fit-out easier
For fleet buyers, accessories are often an important part of the vehicle acquisition process.
A ute may need a canopy, towbar, brake controller, tray protection or secure cargo solution before it can be placed into service. Sourcing and fitting this equipment separately can add another layer of administration, particularly for fleets operating across multiple locations.
The Genuine Foton Accessories Range allows customers to order key equipment through the authorised retailer network, helping create a more streamlined path from vehicle selection to deployment.
Foton Australia General Manager Glen Cooper said the accessories range was intended to support customers well beyond the initial vehicle purchase.
“A locally developed accessories range, created with the best partners who are experts in local conditions, is about giving owners capability they can trust and helping them get the most out of their vehicle,” Cooper said.
Three suppliers, three areas of expertise
Ironman 4×4 is the lead partner for the range and is supplying products including alloy canopies, roller covers and roof platforms.
These products are aimed at customers needing secure storage, improved load-carrying capability or greater flexibility for equipment and tools.
TriMotive is responsible for towing and recovery hardware, including towbar kits, electric brake controllers, Anderson plug kits and recovery points.
MTL is supplying vehicle protection products such as carpet mats, deep-dish rubber mats and tray liners, helping protect vehicles exposed to regular worksite use, dirt, mud and equipment.
Ironman 4×4 Chief Operating Officer Matt Frost said the partnership would give Tunland owners more flexibility to prepare their vehicles for different applications.
“We’re thrilled to partner with Foton Australia to offer Tunland owners the tools to enhance capability and versatility of both the V7 and V9, whether they’re heading to the job site or on an off-road adventure,” Frost said.
Warranty support adds fleet confidence
Accessories purchased at the time of sale, or before the first scheduled maintenance, and fitted by an authorised Foton retailer are covered for the remainder of the vehicle’s seven-year, unlimited-kilometre new-vehicle warranty.
That warranty arrangement may be valuable for fleets seeking clearer responsibility for the vehicle, its accessories and the installation process.
It also reduces the need to manage separate warranty arrangements across multiple accessory suppliers, provided the products are ordered and fitted within Foton’s stated conditions.
Supporting more specialised fleet roles
The accessory range broadens the applications available to Tunland customers, from trade and service vehicles to regional, towing and recreational use.
It also signals Foton Australia’s intention to build a broader ownership and support proposition around the Tunland, rather than competing on the vehicle alone.
The range is available through Foton Australia’s network of 39 authorised light-commercial-vehicle retailers, with the company planning further network growth.
For fleet operators considering the Tunland, the addition of locally developed accessories makes it easier to assess the ute as a complete operational package rather than simply a base vehicle.
