LDV has launched its Deliver 7 mid-size van in Australia, which sits alongside its electric eDeliver 7 sibling, offering a competitively priced alternative to popular options like the Ford Transit, Renault Trafic, Hyundai Staria and Toyota Hiace.
The Deliver 7 is powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine producing 123kW/390Nm, mated to a nine-speed ZF automatic transmission driving the front wheels. LDV claims fuel use of 7.7l/100km, which with an 80-litre tank offers impressive range.
The cabin of the new Deliver 7 offers keyless entry and start, height adjustable driver’s seat with manual slide, recline, lumbar support and armrest. A 12.3″ touchscreen infotainment display is featured inside, with DAB radio, bluetooth, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and three USB ports.
The Deliver 7 comes standard with either six (SWB) or eight (LWB) tie-down points in the cargo area, a single-sliding door on the passenger side, and LED rear cargo lighting. The 90°/180° opening rear doors – ideal for loading Australian pallets via forklift – can also be fixed in place while the vehicle is on an incline to prevent them swinging closed.
Cargo volume is where the Deliver 7 shines, with the short-wheelbase model offering 6.3m3 and that figure rises to 7.2m3 in the long-wheelbase variant.
All LDV Deliver 7 models are equipped with a full suite of ADAS technology, like Autonomous Emergency Braking (car-to-car, pedestrian and cyclist), Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Front Collision Warning, Emergency Lane Keep Assist and Lane Change Assist, Blind Spot Monitoring, Front/Rear Parking Sensors and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
While the Deliver 7 is yet to be ANCAP tested, its all-electric eDeliver 7 sibling gained a gold rating in ACAP’s new Commercial Van Safety Report.
In a move aimed at fleet and business buyers, LDV is offering the Deliver 7 SWB from $42,490 driveaway for ABN holders, with regular prices starting at $44,726 driveaway. The LWB version is available for $44,490 if you have an ABN, or $46,832 for regular customers.
“LDV prides itself on knowing what really matters to business operators,” said LDV General Manager, Dinesh Chinnappa, .
“We know SMEs and fleet operators view time as their most valuable asset. So they need a van that’s comfortable, efficient and convenient, with safety and technology features to keep them out of trouble, all underscored by a compelling value-for-money proposition. In the new Deliver 7, Australian businesses have a van that can deliver all that and more, 24/7.”
The Deliver 7 range is covered by a seven-year/200,000 kilometre (whichever comes first) warranty and five-year/unlimited kilometre roadside assistance, while service intervals occur at 5,000km and then every 20,000km or 12 months.
