Mitsubishi Motors Australia has expanded its popular Outlander range with the introduction of the Outlander LS Black Edition, a limited-edition variant that adds darker styling elements and additional comfort features to one of the brand’s strongest fleet performers .
Positioned above the standard LS, the Black Edition is designed to appeal to buyers looking for a sharper visual package while retaining the practicality and value that has made the Outlander a consistent choice across business, government and novated leasing programs.
Black Edition styling highlights
The Outlander LS Black Edition is distinguished by an extensive list of black exterior accents, giving the medium SUV a more assertive appearance. Key exterior features include:
- Two-tone black roof
- Black roof rails
- Black Dynamic Shield front design
- Black fog lamp bezels
- Black quarter window garnish
- Material black front and rear bumper garnishes
- Black 18-inch alloy wheels
- Black side mirrors and belt-line mouldings
The result is a noticeably different look compared with the standard LS, without changing the core body shape or dimensions that fleets are already familiar with.
Added comfort and interior upgrades
Inside, the LS Black Edition adopts features previously reserved for higher grades in the Outlander range. These include:
- Heated front seats
- Microsuede seat trim with synthetic leather bolsters
- Eight-way power-adjustable driver seat
- Synthetic leather trim on front and rear doors
These upgrades sit alongside the LS model’s standard equipment, including the eight-speaker Dynamic Yamaha Sound system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Mitsubishi’s Australian-tuned suspension package .
All-wheel drive only
Unlike the regular LS, the Black Edition is offered exclusively with Mitsubishi’s Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC)system. This makes it one of the more capable AWD options in the medium SUV segment, particularly for fleets operating across mixed road conditions or regional environments.
Pricing and availability
The Outlander LS Black Edition will arrive in dealerships in February and is priced from $47,990 RRP .
Expanded seating flexibility for Outlander ES
Alongside the Black Edition launch, Mitsubishi has also broadened the appeal of the entry-level Outlander ES by making the 5+2 seat configuration available to private buyers for the first time.
Previously restricted to fleet-only sales, the Outlander ES 2WD 5+2 is now priced from $42,540 RRP, with specification otherwise unchanged from the five-seat ES variant . This move increases flexibility for families and organisations needing occasional third-row seating without stepping up to higher grades.
Aftersales support remains a key strength
All Outlander models continue to be covered by Mitsubishi’s 10/10/10 Diamond Advantage program, which includes:
- 10-year / 200,000km new vehicle warranty*
- 10-year capped price servicing^
- Up to 10 years roadside assistance#
For fleet managers and novated lease buyers, this long-term coverage remains a significant whole-of-life cost consideration, particularly in comparison with competitors offering shorter warranty and servicing periods .
