Hertz has announced a new franchise partnership with Ace Drive Pte Ltd, part of the Reach Group, to operate both the Hertz and Thrifty brands in Singapore from 1 November 2025.
The partnership extends Hertz’s growing presence across the Asia-Pacific region and strengthens its offering in one of the region’s most important business and travel hubs. Under the agreement, Ace Drive will provide a comprehensive range of mobility solutions including self-drive rentals, long-term leasing, and chauffeur services for both corporate and leisure customers.
With more than 20 years in Singapore’s automotive and leasing market, Ace Drive brings strong local expertise and a reputation for customer-focused service. The company’s experience will underpin the launch of the new operations and enhance the Hertz network’s ability to deliver consistent, high-quality service across the region.
Damien Shaw, Vice President of Hertz Asia Pacific, said the appointment represents another step in the company’s expansion strategy.
“Hertz is excited to be working with such an established partner, and we believe this partnership is a testament to both parties’ commitment to providing greater convenience and quality service to our customers,” said Shaw. “It also strengthens Hertz’s network in a key Asian gateway city, ensuring travellers experience the same high standards of reliability and service consistency across the region.”
Ace Drive Founder, Jesse Tan, said the company is proud to bring the Hertz and Thrifty brands to Singapore.
“We’re honoured to represent the Hertz and Thrifty brands in Singapore. With our local expertise and Hertz’s global reach, we’re committed to delivering exceptional service and creating new opportunities for growth across Singapore’s evolving mobility landscape,” Tan said. “We warmly welcome both locals and travellers to experience the comfort, reliability and service excellence proudly delivered by Hertz Singapore.”
The move aligns with Hertz’s broader strategy to expand franchise operations throughout Asia-Pacific, providing customers with greater choice and flexibility in how they access vehicles — from short-term rentals to long-term mobility solutions.
For fleet and mobility operators, the partnership highlights the growing integration between global car rental networks and local leasing providers, ensuring consistency of service while meeting regional business and tourism needs.
