Ford Australia has officially launched the Ford Pro Convertor (FPC) program, a nationwide initiative designed to deliver certified conversions and customisations for commercial vehicles. The program connects businesses with a select network of Ford-approved convertors capable of tailoring vehicles to specific operational needs across industries such as utilities, construction, emergency services, mining, and overlanding.
The FPC program builds on Ford’s global focus on commercial vehicle support, offering Australian customers the assurance that modifications meet Ford’s engineering and safety standards. Each convertor undergoes a detailed assessment by Ford to ensure quality, installation methods, and capability align with FPC certification standards.
“Every business is different, and they all require their vehicles to be tailored to their unique needs, with the quality, professionalism, and peace of mind that allows them to get on with the job,” said Andrew Birkic, President and CEO, Ford Australia and New Zealand.
Michael Elias, General Manager – Fleet, Ford Australia, added, “We have meticulously selected and certified our Ford Pro Convertors, ensuring they meet Ford Pro Convertor standards and cater to the needs of a wide range of customers.”
The Ford Pro Convertor warranty is aligned with Ford’s new vehicle warranty duration, giving fleet operators confidence that their investment is supported end-to-end. For used vehicles, the conversion warranty matches the remaining term of the Ford Express New Vehicle Warranty.
At launch, certified FPC partners include Bull Motor Bodies, Duratray, Hidrive, Mits Alloy, Norweld, and XL Service Bodies — all with locations across major capital cities. Each convertor specialises in particular vehicle types and modification categories, from service bodies and trays to canopy systems and off-road solutions.
For Fleet Managers, the new program represents an opportunity to streamline specification and fit-out processes through factory-approved channels, minimising downtime and compliance risks while maintaining warranty integrity. It also complements Ford’s existing range of Genuine Accessories and Ford Licensed Accessories by enabling more complex and bespoke builds.
By integrating the FPC network into its commercial operations, Ford Australia reinforces its commitment to supporting uptime, lowering operating costs, and enhancing productivity for fleet and business customers.
