Australian-owned connected vehicle specialist, Directed Technologies, has announced its first strategic partnership in India with A3T Technologies, a leader in automotive electronics, to accelerate its presence in the world’s third-largest automotive market.
The collaboration will focus on rolling out Directed Technologies’ OEM-grade Multimedia Units (MMUs) for commercial vehicles, developed and tested with global manufacturers and already fitted in more than 350,000 vehicles worldwide. A3T will act as a sales representative for Directed in India, leveraging its strong connections with bus and truck OEMs as well as a nationwide distributor network.
India’s commercial vehicle market continues to grow at pace, with 5.1 million vehicles sold in 2024 and forecasts pointing to 7.5 million by 2030. By working with A3T, Directed will gain faster access to local OEMs while ensuring region-specific requirements—such as multilingual interfaces, connectivity optimisation, and compliance with regulatory standards—are met.
Mark Whitmore, Senior Vice President Sales and Customer Growth at Directed Technologies, described the partnership as a critical step in the company’s global growth strategy:
“This is an important, strategic collaboration that combines our innovative multimedia technology with A3T’s deep local expertise. Together, we’re not just selling products, we’re co-developing solutions tailored to India’s unique market needs. From delivering localised support to enabling innovation at scale, we’re laying the groundwork for long term growth in the region.”
A3T Technologies will help integrate Directed’s advanced multimedia units into the cabin systems of leading OEMs, supporting features such as driver connectivity, compliance, and fleet productivity.
Aniketh More, Founder of A3T Technologies, highlighted the significance of the partnership for the local market:
“This partnership will help deliver advanced, reliable, and scalable multimedia solutions to the Indian market. It’s a significant step forward in revolutionising India’s automotive and technology landscape.”
Directed Technologies’ solutions are already in use across 5,000 fleets globally, supporting transport and logistics operators in Australia, South America, Africa, and Asia. Earlier in 2025, the company appointed Vishnu Verma as Country Manager for India to oversee operations and deliver connected solutions including multimedia, telematics, and IoT platforms.
