National delivery fleet provider, Ontime Delivery Solutions, has signed up to the Carlton Respects Workplace Charter, a commitment by AFL football club Carlton toward gender equality and prevention of violence against women.
The Charter provides a framework of actions, including education to employees, to lead organisations to become more gender equitable workplaces.
“Our Club is extremely proud of the Carlton Respects Workplace Charter, which is a pivotal part of our strategic objective to make Carlton Respects the most influential gender equality program in Australian sport”, Carlton CEO Cain Liddle said.
“Gender equality is a social issue that unfortunately still remains prevalent and is one we are extremely passionate about addressing – we are delighted to have partners such as Ontime aligned with us in that regard.”
Walter Scremin, General Manager of Ontime Delivery Solutions, said: “Ontime congratulates Carlton Football Club on this initiative and supports the mission to promote gender equality and prevent violence against women.
“We believe the Charter aligns strongly with our commitment to provide a safe and female-friendly working environment.
“We would love to see other companies also commit to the Carlton Respects Workplace Charter in a bid to stamp out gender-related inequality and violence.”
Ontime Delivery Solutions delivery contractor, Rebecca Gazzola was due to deliver the match day ball to Carlton’s round 21 Marvel Stadium match against the Gold Coast Suns on 7 August, however this has been postponed due to COVID-19.
Ms Gazzola has two daughters, Taylah and Alivia, who are also Ontime contractors. “It’s great to see Ontime support the Carlton Respects Workplace Charter,” says Gazzola.
“When Taylah and Alivia were thinking of coming to work at Ontime I didn’t hesitate to recommend them. I want them to work in an environment where they feel safe and respected.”
Ontime Delivery Solutions has sponsored Carlton’s coaches since 2016.
