Smartfleet has announced a new partnership with Volkswagen Financial Services Australia (VWFS), expanding its funding options and strengthening its position as a leading fleet management provider in the country.
The move allows Smartfleet, part of SmartGroup, to offer a broader range of funding solutions that better match the diverse needs of organisations across Australia. By adding VWFS as an external funding provider, Smartfleet is enhancing flexibility while maintaining its capital-light business model.
Anthony Dijanosic, Group Executive for Fleet at SmartGroup, said the collaboration marks an important milestone in Smartfleet’s strategic growth.
“Expanding our funding model is an important progression of our fleet strategy, enabling Smartfleet to further support its clients with tailored solutions,” Dijanosic said. “By complementing our existing offering with external funding capability, we can significantly scale fleet funding to existing and new clients, while maintaining our capital-light business model.”
Dean Stevanovski, Director of Fleet at Volkswagen Financial Services Australia, said the partnership aligns with VWFS’s vision of supporting fleet customers with modern, adaptable financing.
“This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to delivering scalable and flexible finance solutions that empower Australian organisations to optimise their fleet operations while advancing sustainable mobility goals.”
Smartfleet manages more than 32,000 vehicles nationally and continues to evolve its services to meet the changing demands of corporate, government and not-for-profit clients. The integration of VWFS into Smartfleet’s existing systems ensures clients will experience a seamless transition with added funding flexibility.
With this announcement, Smartfleet reinforces its commitment to helping organisations optimise their fleet operations, access competitive finance options, and progress toward sustainable mobility.
