Škoda Australia has expanded its large SUV line-up with the arrival of the new-generation Kodiaq Select Hybrid (mHEV), bringing a 48V mild-hybrid powertrain to the popular family and fleet-focused model.
Replacing the outgoing Kodiaq Select 4×4, the updated variant introduces improved efficiency and revised specification while maintaining the space and practicality that have defined the Kodiaq range .
48V Mild-Hybrid Powertrain
The Kodiaq Select Hybrid is powered by a 1.5-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system .
Key specifications include:
- 110kW
- 250Nm
- 7-speed DSG transmission
- Front-wheel drive
- Fuel consumption:
- 6.0L/100km (5-seat)
- 6.1L/100km (7-seat)
The mild-hybrid system provides electric assistance during acceleration, recovers energy under braking and enables engine-off coasting to help reduce fuel consumption. For fleets and novated lease buyers seeking incremental efficiency gains without changing refuelling infrastructure, this type of system offers a practical middle ground between conventional petrol and plug-in solutions.
Two Seating Configurations
The Kodiaq Select Hybrid will be available in both five-seat and seven-seat layouts, supporting a wide range of use cases from family buyers through to corporate fleets requiring flexibility .
Manufacturer’s recommended retail pricing starts from:
- $49,990 RRP – 5-seat
- $51,990 RRP – 7-seat
Škoda is also offering a national driveaway offer of $49,990 for the five-seat variant (excluding optional extras) .

With up to 828 litres of luggage capacity in the five-seat configuration, the Kodiaq remains one of the more spacious offerings in the large SUV segment .
