After sell-out success in 2023, the Ford Ranger Wildtrak X makes a return, but only 750 will be available priced from $77,640 plus on-road costs – so get in quick.
Picking up from the previous MY23.5 Wildtrak X Special Edition, the MY25.25 Wildtrak X has returned with tough looks, innovative rack system, inverter, and improved off-road capability.
The Ranger Wildtrak X scores upgraded Bilstein Position-Sensitive Dampers with remote nitrogen filled reservoirs, increasing the track width and ground clearance for the off-road-focused model.
“The Ranger Wildtrak X brings together a number of elements that have made the Ranger family Australia’s number one choice of new vehicle two years’ in a row,” said Mathew Slade, Ranger Product & Retail Marketing Manager, Ford Australia.
“It builds on the legendary Wildtrak nameplate, adds serious off-road chops thanks to the trick Bilstein Position-Sensitive Dampers, and clever everyday useability with the Flexible Rack System2 – a classic example of Aussie ingenuity!”
The only additional option for the MY25.25 is Prestige Paint ($700), while the previous Cyber Orange choice has been replaced by the addition of Luxe Yellow and Blue Lightning, alongside previous optional hues Shadow Black, Meteor Grey, and Aluminium. Arctic White remains the standard choice.
New for MY25.25 Wildtrak X is the addition of a 400W power inverter in the rear console and tray, along with Pro Trailer Backup Assist, which makes reversing easier than ever.
All MY25.25 Wildtrak X’s are fitted with Ford’s 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine producing 150kW/500Nm, mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission with full-time 4×4 ability.
The added off-road ability of the Wildtrak X, compared to a standard Wildtrak, does not compromise the Ranger’s 3500kg towing capacity, making this model a fantastic choice for customers wanting the ultimate overlanding rig fresh out of the box.
Production of the MY25.25 Ranger Wildtrak X has commenced, with the first customer deliveries expected in Q1, 2025.
