Novated Leasing is how you can own the car of your dreams as well as save money using pre-tax salary. So the FAN team are delighted to be launching the 2021 Novated Leasing Guide with updated vehicle data and articles that explain the benefits of novated leasing.
This edition is exciting because there’s more hybrid and electric vehicles than ever before. As you’ll see when you flick through the pages in the guide, there are separate categories for Electric, Hybrid and PHEV. In 2020, a record number of new hybrid vehicles were sold and even more will hit the roads in 2021 as more models become available.
Each year we ask ourselves, will the Novated Leasing guide provide a benefit to consumers, or fill a need in the industry? We got our answer after reading the latest annual report of ASX listed novated leasing provider Eclipx. They mentioned that they had only reached 1.6% of eligible employees for salary packaging and novated leases.
This year novated leasing will celebrate its 35th birthday after being born in 1986 when the Hawke/Keating government launched Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) in the August budget of 1986. And still, there is such little understanding of the benefits and tax savings that are available to a large number of employees.
The 2021 Novated Leasing guide from Fleet Auto News aims to educate and inform consumers on the benefits of novated leasing by providing leasing rates for more than 200 vehicles. It’s a respected source of independent advice for new car buyers.
Categories are used to separate the different type of cars to help narrow down your choices. If you’re looking for your dream car, Luxury and Sports will be the sections for you. If it’s to upgrade the family car, you should head straight to SUV Medium or SUV Large depending on your family size.
There’s a broad range of vehicles with an indicative monthly lease rental on each one. This is because most of us desire cars with a purchase price beyond our reach. Though when you convert the cost of ownership to a fixed monthly amount you may be able to put the one you want in your driveway sooner than you planned.
We’ve also tried to simplify the information on the savings available with a novated lease. The data on each vehicle is not comprehensive. It’s a sample of the information you’ll see on a novated leasing quote to introduce you to the important terms.
If you are considering a novated lease, now or in the future, this guide is for you.
