O’Brien AutoGlass has launched a new in-house calibration service for cars equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
The Cal-Tech safety system (that’s what they call the calibration service) will assist in providing a better service to customers following a windscreen replacement, completing the job in the branch and getting the vehicle back on the road faster.
Many modern vehicles are now equipped with sophisticated driver assistance technology, as safety features such as automatic emergency braking and lane departure warnings become standard. A number of these ADAS features require re-calibration after windscreen replacement as a vehicle manufacturer requirement due to the technology being housed in windscreen mounted hardware.
Peter Lumsdaine, CEO and Managing Director, said “This is an exciting moment in the history of O’Brien AutoGlass. The investment in Cal-Tech is another reason O’Brien leads the market as the ‘Experts making it Easy’. Our in-house solution and trained technicians will ensure a great service experience for our customers with vehicles equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)”.
“It also makes it easier for our expert technicians and customer service teams with the streamlining of our internal processes, reducing our reliance on external calibration with Original Equipment (OE) Dealers.”
Seven flagship branches have been selected to launch our Cal-Tech safety system based on current ADAS volumes, to ensure we reach as many customers as possible, making their life easier when they have the hassle of a windscreen replacement.
