BMW has announced its updated 3 Series range will arrive in Australia from Q4, bringing subtle enhancements to technology and styling across 330i and M340i models.
The major update in 2022 has been followed by a minor package of updates that elevate the visual appeal and digital capability of the G20 3 Series Range, now six years old.
A new model range is expected in 2027, which means the G20 will be one of the longest running model generations from BMW – up from the usual seven year run time – but sales remain strong.
According to BMW, it has sold almost three million examples of the current-generation 3 Series globally and local sales are up 27 per cent to the end of April, compared with the same period last year.
Updates include the integration of BMW Operating System 8.5, which provides upgraded BMW iDrive with QuickSelect functions and extended navigation features like ‘Augmented View’.
Inside, a new flat bottom M leather steering is featured, as well as updated air conditioning vents with newly designed adjustment knobs.
Additional ambient lighting elements are also included to further lift interior ambience, while the M340i xDrive will feature the BMW glass application ‘CraftedClarity’ – which features Swarovski crystals – as standard equipment for the local market.
M Sport seats will remain standard equipment for all Australian-delivered BMW 3 Series variants, and three new 19-inch alloy wheel designs will be rolled out.
Pricing and specification for the new BMW 3 Series Sedan and Touring will be announced in July, with customer deliveries set to begin in Q4.
