Renault Australia recently held a ceremony in honour of its top performing apprentices from the class of 2018, marking the completion of the national apprentice training programme. The winners reflect the type of trained professionals you get working on your fleet or novated vehicle when you return to a dealership for servicing.
“The Class of 2018 continued to reflect the high standard we have come to expect from our apprentices and Renault Australia is proud to see them enter the workforce as competent and professional technicians, as well as being part of the wider Renault family.” said Mr. Mark Manns, Renault Australia’s National Service Manager.
Third year apprentice Lee-Han Lee from Suttons City took first place for his class, while Adam Jackson from Bendigo Renault and Nathan O’Brien from Warrnambool Renault took second and third place respectively.
All received formal qualifications of Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology, Certificate II in Automotive Air Conditioning Technology as well as internationally recognised Advanced Renault Technician (ART) status.
“Over the three years apprenticeship programme in the Renault Academy, it has been great to see all 11 of our apprentices grow. This growth could not have been achieved without the student’s hard work and support of their Renault dealership,” Mr. Manns said.
The apprentices completed the final year of their education at Renault Australia’s state-of-the-art Renault Training Academy in Melbourne, in partnership with Kangan Institute’s Automotive Centre of Excellence.
In their third and final year, Renault apprentices gain a thorough understanding of how to diagnose, service and repair engines and associated components, as well as light vehicle clutches, manual and automatic transmissions, electronic drive management, air conditioning systems and electrical systems.
This year’s top performing apprentices were awarded with the following:
- First place trophy and $1,500 SP tools voucher
- Second place trophy and $1,000 SP tools voucher
- Third place trophy and $500 SP tools voucher
Renault Australia congratulates the class of 2018 for their outstanding work and look forward to seeing them use these extensive skills and learnings within Renault’s nationwide dealer network.
