As companies trend towards more SUVs in their fleet carparc, tyre wear and maintenance will become more important because the vehicles are larger and heavier which could lead to rapid tyre wear and a higher average tyre replacement cost without proper care and management.
Goodyear Australia has recently launched the new Assurance MaxGuard SUV, continuing the evolution of its predecessor product Goodyear’s Wrangler TripleMax. Tailored for mid-size SUVs, Goodyear Assurance MaxGuard SUV provides 2-in-1 protection through improved grip and durability making it the perfect partner for drivers and their families to journey out and explore their world of possibilities.
With demand for travel increasing post-pandemic, and more time being spent with families, more SUV car drivers are seeking a solution which suits both their protection and comfort needs equally.
Nat Madarang, Goodyear Asia Pacific President, commented: “We are very excited to introduce the Goodyear Assurance MaxGuard SUV to mid-size SUV drivers in Australia. We know most of these drivers are family-oriented safety seekers looking for a solution that suits both their safety and comfort needs equally.”
“The Goodyear Assurance MaxGuard SUV is a significant expansion of our product portfolio for SUV and 4X4 vehicles,” Madarang added.
With Goodyear’s advanced ActiveGrip Technology, the new Goodyear Assurance MaxGuard SUV offers a tight grip for improved handling and shorter braking distance on wet roads, due to the unique design and increased number of multi-biting edges and optimised distribution, and ActiveGrip cap compound with blended silica.
The DuraGuard Technology builds a robust tyre carcass to help withstand cuts and punctures, while enhancing performance durability with a 2-ply construction and a strong steel belt package which aims to ensure a tough construction specific for SUV applications.
The Goodyear Assurance MaxGuard SUV also provides a quieter ride due to an upgraded tread pattern with an angled block design, noise reduction rib and narrower grooves to make for a quieter and more comfortable driving experience.
It extends a longer mileage with enhanced tyre footprint, optimised tread depth distribution and cavity shape to better maximise the mileage performance.
The Goodyear Assurance MaxGuard SUV will be available in 34 sizes across 15” to 20” rim diameters. Targeting the popular and growing mid-size SUV segment, the product range includes fitments for Toyota Fortuner and RAV4, Volkswagen Tiguan, Honda CR-V and HR-V, Ford Kuga, and many other popular mid-size SUV models in the Australian market.
