Phil Gilbert Motor Group is now offering car subscription to customers via the Loopit platform. The partnership will allow the company to offer customers a new vehicle subscription option alongside sales, leasing and finance.
The car subscription offering is available to drivers across the company’s dealership showrooms. Customers are also be able to subscribe to cars directly from the Phil Gilbert Motor Group website, with major brands including Toyota, Kia and Hyundai.
The solution provides a streamlined experience for both dealers and their customers. With the Loopit platform integrated onto the website, dealers simply need to select cars from their stock to make available for subscription. Customers can then browse through the website, choose the car they want and subscribe online.
Michael Higgins, Co-Founder and Managing Director at Loopit says: “We’re excited to be partnering with one of the most well-renowned and established brands in the Sydney automotive market. Through this partnership, customers can subscribe to cars of their choice quickly and easily directly through the Phil Gilbert Motor Group website from the comfort of their own homes – or if they prefer to speak to a dealer, they can subscribe directly in-showroom. Phil Gilbert is the latest and largest in a growing number of providers, bringing us closer to the goal of having car subscription available for every Aussie at their local dealership.”
The subscription model provides more flexibility than car ownership, leasing or finance with customers paying a small weekly fee for their vehicle, with no long-term contract. Costs such as insurance and registration are covered in the regular payments, making the entire process streamlined. Customers also have the freedom to swap to different cars as their needs change, rather than being locked into one vehicle.
Phil Gilbert Motor Group is recognised as a National Top 20 Toyota Dealer and currently has ten showrooms across the Sydney region, with over 190 employees.
Edwina Gilbert from Phil Gilbert Motor Group said: “We are thrilled to expand our services and offer car subscription to customers for the very first time. Our dealers have seen a growing organic demand for subscription services over the last 12 months, and with Loopit we’ve been able to structure the offering exactly to suit our customers’ needs. The out-of-the-box software has made it simple for even our large dealerships to get the subscription program up and running, so we can provide local drivers with a totally unique, tailored offering.”
Loopit provides a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform for car dealerships, resellers, and manufacturers, to offer their own vehicle subscription services to customers. The end-to-end platform provides dealerships with ‘subscription in a box,’ including the software, training and services needed to offer car subscription to customers simply and easily.
Loopit has experienced tremendous growth since first launching in early 2019, and now powers 80% of Australia’s car subscription market. The company launched in New Zealand in 2020, partnering with New Zealand’s leading vehicle distribution and dealer group, The Giltrap Group and global car rental giant SIXT, and expanded into the United Kingdom last year.
Loopit recently raised AUD$3.6 million in its first external capital raise. The Seed investment round was led by early-stage venture capital firm Tidal Ventures, with participation from Upswell Ventures and Luxem. The fresh capital will help fuel Loopit’s growing footprint, accelerating global expansion. It will also be used to further develop Loopit’s award-winning technology platform.
