Fleet managers weighing up electric vehicles will have an opportunity to compare a growing range of models in one place when Everything Electric returns to Sydney Showground from 18–20 September 2026.
More than 100 electric vehicle models are expected to feature at this year’s event, spanning passenger cars, vans, trucks and other forms of electric transport. Organisers are also planning more than 7,500 test drives across the three days, creating what is being billed as the largest and most diverse EV test drive experience in the Southern Hemisphere.
For fleet operators, the timing is significant.
Electric vehicle choice in Australia has expanded rapidly, creating more opportunities for organisations to match an EV to a specific operational requirement rather than simply asking whether an electric vehicle will work at all.
Everything Electric Sydney will bring together manufacturers including BYD, Cadillac, Chery, Farizon, Forthing, Genesis, Geely, GAC, GWM, Hyundai, Icaur, IM, Lepas, MG, Omoda Jaecoo, Polestar, Subaru, Weichai and Zeekr, with several new vehicle launches also expected during the show.
That concentration of vehicles provides fleet managers with an opportunity to compare different models, seating positions, cargo areas, technology and driving characteristics without organising a series of separate manufacturer demonstrations.
EV sales continue to accelerate
According to figures included in the Everything Electric announcement, 127,244 battery electric vehicles had been sold in Australia by the end of July 2026, representing 17.3 per cent of the market and already exceeding the 103,269 sold throughout 2025.
Australia’s total EV fleet is now estimated at approximately 650,000 vehicles.
Dan Caesar, Global CEO of Everything Electric, said the combination of greater vehicle choice, improving technology and increased interest in reducing transport and energy costs made this year’s event particularly timely.

More than just new cars
The relevance for fleet operators extends beyond passenger vehicles.
Everything Electric will include commercial vehicles, vans and trucks alongside charging, battery storage and energy technology.
More than 40 expert sessions will also be held across two theatres, covering topics including vehicle-to-grid technology, new and used EV purchasing, charging, range and future vehicle arrivals.
For organisations developing an EV transition plan, these subjects are increasingly connected. Vehicle selection needs to be considered alongside charging infrastructure, electricity supply, utilisation patterns and whole-of-life operating costs.
