Volkswagen has ample supply for T-Roc Style, R-Line and R, in addition to Tiguan 110TSI Life with more Tiguans Rs incoming for waiting customers.
Supply will improve for the Tiguan 110TSI Life normal wheelbase (NWB), Tiguan, which complements solid availability of Tiguan Allspace.
Volkswagen will, however, pause orders for the Tiguan 132TSI, 147TDI and 162TSI NWB until further notice. Supply will be restricted from the second quarter of 2023 onwards due to a lack of 4MOTION availability.
Tiguan 132TSI is in stock and available at $49,990 drive-away with three-year included servicing, until March 31, 2023.
Between Tiguan and Tiguan Allspace there are 3,572 of the 132TSI, 147TDI and 162TSI variants in dealer stock.
The Tiguan Monochrome and Tiguan Allspace Adventure are also available, while the Passat Wagon, Passat Alltrack, Arteon and Touareg are in continuing strong supply.
There are more than 1200 high-performance T-Roc R SUVs in the pipeline and 4313 T-Rocs of all types available.
Volkswagen’s halo ‘R’ division is making progress for Australia, one of its key markets globally. Orders for the T-Roc R are running at a rate that is making it the number one market internationally for the high-performance compact SUV.
Only the Tiguan R has a higher overall order bank, and improved production for Australia has meant that a greater number of these orders are being fulfilled. For reasons of demand, orders will now be paused for the foreseeable future. Golf R and Golf R Wagon orders are also paused due to previously announced component shortages.
“Volkswagen is in a strong position for Tiguan 132TSI, Tiguan 162TSI Monochrome and Tiguan Allspace Adventure deliveries in the first quarter of this year, before 4MOTION deliveries are impacted in the second quarter,” Volkswagen Passenger Vehicles Director Michal Szeniecki said.
“It became increasingly important to balance this with improved Tiguan 110TSI Life and Tiguan R supply. The 1000 Tiguan R orders will be assisted by this, while additional T-Roc and T-Roc R stock will help balance continuing restrictions on Golf.
A local initiative, the Volkswagen Welcome Experience is a customer journey that links to a personalised micro site for owners to track their vehicle from factory to dealership.
