The next generation LDV Deliver 9 range of vans and buses has arrived in Australia, bringing an increase in power, improved suite of safety features, and a longer warranty.
Major changes include a gold rating in ANCAP’s Commercial Van Safety Comparison test, an updated seven-year/200,000km warranty and the move to a Euro 6 diesel engine, ticking off many of the boxes fleet managers need to satisfy.
“Commercial vehicles are the bread and butter of our business so it’s critical we continue to innovate and improve our product offering,” said LDV Automotive General Manager, Dinesh Chinnappa.
The new MY24 Deliver 9 van and bus models feature Euro 6-compliant engines, ahead of the Euro 6 emissions standards – due to come into force 1 December 2025 – which impose limits on the release of certain harmful gases and particulate matter, particularly nitrogen oxides (NOx) and hydrocarbons.
LDV’s latest engine produces 128kW/420Nm, which is an increase of 20kW of power and 45Nm of torque compared to the previous Deliver 9 – despite its clean credentials. It is mated to an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission, with drive sent to the rear wheels.
New MY24 Deliver 9 van and bus models have also been boosted with standard safety features including blind spot detection, lane change assist, door opening warning, emergency lane keeping, electronic park brake, and front parking sensors.
A new upgraded 12.3-inch infotainment system (up from 10.1-inch on MY23 vehicles) comes complete with Apple CarPlay & now Android Auto, digital radio and a high-definition rearview camera (in all but the cab chassis variant).
Long wheelbase medium- and high-roof vans also feature 236-degree opening cargo doors as standard, delivering superior ease of access to the rear loading area.
Alongside the updated seven-year/200,000km warranty, LDV also offers capped price servicing for all models with the total cost over three years or 95,000km coming in at $2510.
