This week the 2016 Australasian Fleet Conference and Exhibition will be held by AfMA in Melbourne. A big feature of the event is the supplier exhibition which will feature over 40 companies that provide services to the fleet industry.
Ken Goldberg, general manager, Asia-Pacific at Chevin Fleet Solutions, says Chevin has been exhibiting at the AfMA conference for a number of years. It’s a planned marketing activity for Chevin that helps organisations improve the management of their fleet through dedicated fleet software and mobile apps.
“The Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre is a good venue and the conference appears to get an array of attendees from across the region” says Goldberg.
XL Service Bodies are a new exhibitor at the conference and will be presenting a session on carrying loads titled Overloading! Not just heavy vehicles? They were asked by AfMA because they are recognised as an industry authority. The presenter will be Craig Fletcher, general manager of service bodies at XL and a former fleet manager with Energex.
Also speaking at the conference will be Christopher Vanneste, head of locations at GoGet Carshare. Christopher presented at an AfMA development forum in Sydney last year and the response from the audience was so good he was invited to the conference.
Chris will be talking about the new fleet management and booking platform that was launched recently at La Trobe University in Melbourne. GoGet will also be exhibitor so attendees will get the see their fleet management system in action.
Vehicle manufacturers are also well represented. Nissan Australia has been involved with AfMA for five years and is a Silver sponsor of this year’s event.
“This is an important fleet marketing event for our company because it allows us to showcase our biggest-selling models to current and prospective fleet customers, including government buyers” said a Wayne Burgoyne, national manager fleet at Nissan.
“In terms of our Australian fleet sales business it’s an excellent event for generating leads and connecting with the right audience. And the venue is a great choice; plenty of space to showcase vehicles in the right setting.
