CarBon Leasing & Rentals is offering a new Novated Lease Package with electric vehicles available now with no upfront cost to employees.
In an industry leading move, CarBon’s unique EV only Novated Leasing Package allows customers to lease a wide range of electric vehicles through their employer with no up-front costs, while saving thousands on income tax.
Raphael Abadi, CarBon’s Novated Leasing Business Development Manager, said the new package was currently the cheapest way to secure an EV.
“Thanks to the recent introduction of the Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) exemption for electric vehicles under $84,916, customers can access an EV through our Novated Lease Package at a much more affordable price – often cheaper than a comparable petrol or diesel vehicle.
“Even with an additional $10,000 on the purchase price, EVs are more cost effective to novated lease as they’re not subject to FBT, cost less to run and have fewer maintenance requirements,” Mr Abadi said.
He said under CarBon’s package, a 2023 Toyota Corolla Hatchback SX petrol car costing $36,000 would result in a novated lease cost of $175 per week, while a 2023 MG ZS EV Excite with a purchase price of $48,000 would cost $170 per week.
“Employees have a choice of vehicles including the Tesla Model 3 and New Hyundai IONIQ 6 Sedan which are in currently in stock and available across Australia.
“With several Australian states offering additional rebates and incentives for EVs, now is the perfect time to take full advantage of the FBT exemption and transition to an electric vehicle with no upfront costs and savings of up to 35 percent,” Mr Abadi said.
