To help promote safer driving habits among drivers and improve fleet efficiency and productivity, Verizon Connect has partnered with ComfortDelGro Corporation Australia Pty Ltd (CDC), one of the largest private bus operators in the country, to provide a richer, more data-driven fleet management experience. This new partnership will give drivers direct access to the tools they need to help improve their driving, all from one dashboard.
“At CDC we are committed to the safety of our people, passengers, the communities we serve each and every day and all other road users” said Warren Sutton, General Manager – Safety & Risk, at CDC. “We needed a solution that could help improve and evaluate driver behaviour through genuine awareness, meaningful consultation and targeted training that was underpinned by data analytics.
“The Verizon Connect solution has enabled our drivers to understand their driving habits in greater detail, make informed and sustained change, to the way they operate each of our buses. This has ultimately fostered an environment where our workers are proud of their demonstrable driving results, they recognise the role telematics plays in transport safety and are continually looking for opportunities to provide a greater passenger service proposition for our customers”, added Warren.
“Verizon Connect has partnered with CDC to provide solutions that can help drive their mission of improving safety across their extensive fleet,” said, Greg Newham, APAC Sales Director, Verizon Connect. “This technology gives them the tools to help them make a significant impact on their productivity and efficiency as well as improve safety.”
Verizon Connect’s fleet management software platform can help provide drivers with greater visibility into vehicle maintenance, which can help them adhere to driving rules and regulations. Additionally, companies can track the location of vehicles, receive alerts and notifications and access near real-time vehicle data on vehicle maintenance and driving behaviour like harsh driving and speeding.
