FAN found this customer case study featuring John Holland CPB Contractors (JHCPB) and it explains how telematics has been used to manage traffic and fleet asset movements on the Rozelle Interchange project which is the most complicated part of the WestConnex road network.
There are between 800 – 1,000 truck movements a day on this massive infrastructure project and without using technology, managing the movements of vehicles on and off the site would place pressure on local roads and residents.
Everyone in the FAN office gained a different perspective of telematics after watching this video. It’s not just the fleet department that can benefit from vehicle tracking, if the whole business is involved, processes can be improved and efficiencies gained, which will reduce costs across the entire organisation.
