Southern Tyre Service is a mobile tyre fitting and repairs provider operating across the Sydney metro area. They wanted to optimise the management their fleet of vehicles, provide a better service to customers and at the same time improve the bottom line (three key things most businesses are aiming to achieve).
As a matter of priority Southern Tyre Service wanted to increase the number of jobs their mobile tyre fitters could attend per day whilst also providing accurate appointment times for clients – something they had never done before.
To do all of this Southern Tyre Service installed the TomTom Telematics Link530 Track and Trace systems as well as the Pro 7150 Navigation system with LIVE traffic updates.
This allows account managers within Southern Tyre Service to see where their vehicles are at all times. Meaning they are able plan the best routes based on real-time traffic data and information.
The solution also had an immediate financial and environmental impact.
Southern Tyre Service found that by using the TomTom system to optimise route planning they reduced fuel costs and by 10 per cent and also reduced general wear and tear on the vehicles.
