Renault Australia has recognised its top performing national Apprentices and Technicians from the Renault Apprentice Program – a partnership between Renault Australia and Kangan Institute Automotive Centre of Excellence (ACE) – in a three part adrenaline fuelled program held at Phillip Island.
In the midst of the Australian automotive industry’s well-publicised skills shortage, Renault Australia is incredibly proud to offer the Renault Apprentice Program which is helping over 200 apprentices and technicians reach an exciting new career path.
With state of the art facilities at Renault Head office in Mulgrave and Kangan Docklands, apprentices and technicians gain the skills and knowledge for day to day operations in the Renault automotive world with the additional perks of being part of the Renault family with its strong motorsport association.
“The learning and development of the Renault Australia apprentice and technician network is one of the most important drivers in growing a sustainable business and a vital part of ensuring Renault customers receive a quality service and leave with their expectations exceeded,” Renault Australia Managing Director Anouk Poelmann said.
Participants in the program at Phillip Island put pedal to the metal in an adrenaline fuelled day which included:
- Passenger hot laps around Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit in the V6 Megane Trophy race car driven by Josh-Buchan (Formula 3 driver)
- An opportunity to get behind the wheel of the iconic Alpine A110, the flagship Megane R.S. plus the zippy Clio R.S. and manoeuvre around a skidpan in a timed event.
- To keep the adrenaline flowing, participants concluded the day racing Go Karts around the replica Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit overlooking out over the cliffs to Bass Strait putting their driving skills to the ultimate test around the mini circuit.
Renault Australia Aftersales Director, Matthew Wright added: “Renault has a proud motorsport heritage and global profile across multiple racing categories and it was great to be able to leverage this heritage to reward and recognise our best Apprentices and Technicians, Warranty Clerks and Service advisors. These staff play a pivotal role in our Renault Dealer network, providing outstanding service and excellence to our passionate Renault owners.”
