Good news for novated leasing and fleet customers that purchase vehicles from the Honda range. From 1st July 2017 Honda has taken a bold step forward with the introduction of a five year, unlimited kilometre warranty across the range.
“Honda has an envied reputation for quality and reliability, the depth of engineering inherent in our vehicles is something our customers can trust. So we’re taking things a big step further with this 5-year warranty announcement,” Honda Australia Director, Mr. Stephen Collins, said.
“In the competitive Australia market, customers expect brands to be innovative and Honda Australia is aiming to do this right across the business. Through our network of 107 dealers, we’re continually focused on improving how we interact with our customers.”
The 5-year warranty applies to the entire Honda range – from the fuel-efficient Jazz city car right through to the all-new CR-V, Civic hatch and sedan, and even the high performance Civic Type R.
“Our new 5-year, unlimited kilometre Honda warranty, combined with Honda Tailored Servicing, reinforces Honda as a superior ownership proposition ahead of some key rivals,” Mr. Collins said.
“Given the quality of Honda vehicles they can sometimes be perceived as more expensive, when this is simply not the case. We encourage new car buyers to take a look at our pricing, our ownership costs and our new 5-year warranty against the competition. Honda is very competitive.”
The new 5-year, unlimited warranty does not affect other Honda factory backed warranties. Honda’s existing 6-year rust perforation warranty and a three-year paint warranty carry over.
The new vehicle warranty replaces the previous 3-year / 100,000 kilometre factory new vehicle warranty.
Under the new warranty program, Honda vehicles used for commercial purposes^ receive a 5-year / 140,000 km warranty.
^ Commercial purposes means the vehicle is used to carry passengers or goods in the course of business or trade, and includes, without limitation, a vehicle being used any time as a taxi, or for hire, rental, delivery, courier, ride sharing, driving school, tourist or security purposes.
