Leading Australian car subscription software platform Blinker.com.au has officially relaunched as Loopit. The rebrand comes as the company prepares for global expansion, with international deals being inked in the coming weeks.
The Loopit website went live today, showcasing a striking new logo and refreshed branding to appeal to audiences around the world. The new name highlights the flexibility and recurring nature of subscription. Organisations who leverage Loopit software to offer subscriptions will have an additional income stream, with repeating weekly revenue from the subscription fees. For drivers, subscriptions mean there is no longer a need to buy a car outright, they can just Loopit instead!
The company has experienced tremendous growth since first launching in early 2019. It currently operates New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia, and is now exporting its industry-leading technology to New Zealand, the Middle East and South Africa.
Michael Higgins, Co-Founder and Managing Director at Loopit said, “We’ve always had a vision to expand Loopit into international markets, however with unprecedented demand we have decided to accelerate this strategy as the world’s leading car subscription technology provider. The COVID-19 pandemic saw new car sales at an all-time low, and led to increased interest in subscription from dealerships wanting additional revenue. Our technology has already proven a success across Australia, and we’re excited to bring this innovative solution to dealer partners overseas.”
He continued: “As a brand, Loopit ties more closely to the technology behind our offering, while Blinker was specifically automotive inspired. We are exploring the opportunity to expand beyond cars, to be the primary solution for subscription mobility more widely, and we now have a name to suit.”
Loopit is a cloud-based end-to-end software solution that allows car dealerships, OEMs and emerging car subscription providers to offer car subscription-as-a-service to its customers. Car subscription services such as HelloCars have been increasing in popularity amid the COVID-19 pandemic, with consumers looking for a more flexible alternative to traditional car ownership. Over the lockdown period, Loopit saw a massive 52% increase in enquiries from dealerships wanting to integrate subscriptions into their business.
The Loopit platform provides dealerships with “subscription in a box,” including the software, training and services needed to offer car subscription to customers simply and easily. With Loopit integrated onto their websites, dealer partners simply need to select cars from their stock to make available for subscription. Customers can then browse through the website, choose the car they want and subscribe online.
In 2019, Loopit partnered with industry giants Titan DMS and Dealer Solutions. Titan DMS became the first distributor for the platform in the Australian market, offering the subscription solution to car dealerships around the country. Dealer Solutions – which is part of Cox Automotive – was Loopit’s first integrated website partner, offering the subscription to its network of dealers currently using Dealer Solutions as their preferred website partner. The Titan DMS and Dealer Solutions networks combined provide Loopit with access to over 1,000 dealers nationally.
