Renault Australia has opened a state-of-the-art technical training facility at the company’s head office, located in Mulgrave, Victoria.
This is a great signal by Renault for fleet operators because its shows a commitment to the Australia market and provides the confidence that when you purchase a Renault the dealer network will be able to support your fleet.
The new facility, which was officially opened by Gilles Normand, Renault’s Senior Vice President of the Asia-Pacific region, demonstrates Renault’s commitment to a strong future in the Australian automotive market.
“Australia is a vital market for Renault in our ambitions for international market expansion, and over the past four years we have significantly expanded our local customer base. We need to ensure we have the technical ability to support our growth, and of course our customers. The opening of our new Renault Academy will enable us to train more than 120 technicians annually. This is a state-of-the-art facility and one of the most advanced technical training resources for Renault in Asia Pacific,” Normand said.
Justin Hocevar, Renault Australia Managing Director, followed on from Normand’s comments, adding: “We’re very proud to open our new facility, which represents the next phase in what is an exciting time for Renault Australia. This increases our capacity for training and ensures we will be able to keep up with future demand for specialist skills from our ever-expanding dealer network, which now exceeds 50 outlets.
“Our new facility represents an exciting opportunity for us as it will give us the ability to enhance development of accessories for the local market, and further develop our already successful technical training program. As we grow our network we are continually looking for ways to maximise our network’s knowledge and expertise: this is the perfect example of that.”
