Not all fleet and novated lease vehicles will come out of COVID isolation in the condition they were when it started. Here’s a short video that provides a list of things to check before getting back to normal.
Even if everything looks normal drivers should check their tyres pressures because these would have definitely changed in three months believes Chris Beattie, National Fleet Manager at Bob Jane T-Marts.
“Tyre pressure has the biggest impact on tyre performance, fuel usage and wear”, says Beattie. “Fleets and consumers that have good routines and behaviours with tyre inspections and pressure checks always get more mileage, which means lower costs, compared to ones that don’t perform regular maintenance.”
These checks are really important to ensure you are still providing a safe workplace for your employees or volunteers using grey fleet vehicles. It’s also good practice to ask drivers to complete and return a checklist to demonstrate the company has taken steps to ensure the vehicles are safe and roadworthy.
