Volkswagen’s ID Range
Regine Zschernig, National Fleet Sales Manager at Volkswagen, highlighted the ID range, starting with the ID.4 and ID.5 SUVs and the ID.Buzz, both as a people mover and cargo vehicle. Volkswagen’s ID series boasts a five-star safety rating, recycled materials in their interiors, and a commitment to sustainability, including CO2-neutral production. This range offers flexibility and sustainability, making it a strong contender for fleet managers.
BYD’s Innovative Electric Vehicles
BYD’s Boyd Stillwell introduced their lineup, emphasising the company’s strong background in battery technology. BYD’s offerings include the Dolphin hatchback, Atto 3 SUV, and a sedan, all powered by their proprietary blade battery technology, known for its safety and efficiency. Additionally, BYD’s super hybrids, which combine full EV platforms with petrol engines, promise over 1,100 kilometers of range, making them a versatile choice for various fleet needs.
Ford’s Future-Ready Fleet
Christine Wagner, General Manager Fleet and Uplifting at Ford Australia, discussed their future philosophy, showcased through vehicles like the Mach-E and the E-Transit. The Mach-E, an emergency services vehicle in some markets, and the E-Transit, suitable for suburban routes, highlight Ford’s commitment to electrification and versatile fleet solutions. Foton Mobility’s T5 Electric Vehicle
Brandon Page, National Sales Manager – Light Vehicles at Foton Mobility, introduced the T5 which was the top-selling pure electric vehicle in Australia last year. The T5 offers low cost of ownership, comprehensive warranties, and dual-rating capabilities, making it a cost-effective and reliable option for fleet managers. Its adaptability for various applications underscores Foton’s commitment to innovation and efficiency in fleet management.
Hyundai’s Diverse Offerings
Scott Nargar, Senior Manager of Future Mobility & Government Relations at Hyundai, presented an extensive range, from cars to heavy commercial vehicles. Hyundai’s lineup includes the Santa Fe, Kona, and IONIQ series, with plans to phase out internal combustion engines by 2040. Subaru’s Solterra EV
