On Thursday 10th September the winners of the 2015 AfMA Fleet Awards were announced in Sydney.
These awards are the pinnacle of the fleet management industry in Australia and they were attended by industry participants from Sydney and around Australia.
Judging by the smiles, kisses and handshakes the annual AfMA awards night not only provides recognition for the fleet managers setting the standards for the profession, it’s an opportunity to network with peers and reminisce with old friends.
Mace Hartley, Executive Director at AfMA says “It’s always a great night where fleet managers and industry suppliers get together to celebrate the professionalism of the industry and recognise the winners in front of their peers”.
“It’s also an opportunity for AfMA to thank all of the members and the corporate partners for their contribution to the association. Their support is important so it can continue its charter to enhance fleet management as a profession in its own right, to provide knowledge, information and resources to the members and to lobby and advocate on behalf of the fleet industry”.
There were three awards on offer:
- Fleet Manager of the Year Award – Sponsored by Viva Energy Australia
- Fleet Safety Award – Sponsored by Smartfleet and endorsed by ANCAP
- Fleet Environment Award – Sponsored by Toyota Fleet Management and Toyota Motor Corporation Australia
And at the beautiful Doltone House in Pyrmont, with the Sydney Harbour Bridge as the backdrop, the winners were announced.
The winner of the 2015 Fleet Manager of the Year Award was David Stevenson, corporate procurement manager at RCR Tomlinson Ltd.
The winner of the 2015 Fleet Safety Award was the Country Fire Authority Victoria. The award was accepted by Euan Ferguson AFSM, chief officer.
